AI and Art + Design Education Practices: A Faculty Learning Community
Posted on | Updated
Filed in Faculty

Join us as a participant and/or a practice-leader in a new faculty learning community (FLC) hosted by the TLC starting this fall term about using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in art and design education contexts.
Faculty learning communities (FLCs) are a way to learn collaboratively and build community around a particular topic related to teaching development (Cox & McDonald, 2017). We plan to use the short modules in Dr. Gwen Nguyen’s open textbook GenAi in Teaching and Learning Toolkit to explore AI teaching approaches and considerations along with other materials provided by the group as our explorations develop through the term. We also welcome faculty who are well-versed in using AI in their classrooms to join us as practice-leaders to share their AI approaches and keep building community connections at Emily Carr about AI in our midst. Please complete this to share your AI interests and we will get in touch with you before our start date in mid September. Please email Ki Wight with questions about this program (kiwight@ecuad.ca).
Please let us know if you are interested in joining this community at
