Four Alumni Longlisted for the 2019 New Generation Photography Award

The Scotiabank award, founded in partnership with the Canadian Photography Institute of the National Gallery of Canada, was created to support young photographers.
Twenty-three finalists have been announced for the , including four Emily Carr University alumni.
The finalists were selected from across Canada by an international jury of artists, experts and creative leaders. All four BC finalists are graduates of Emily Carr:

- (BFA 2014)
- (BFA 2015)
- (BFA 2018)
Three winners will be announced on April 3, and each will receive a cash prize of $10,000. Winners will also be featured in a group exhibition during the in Toronto.
This is the second year for the New Generation Photography Award, which was created to support the careers of young Canadian artists under age 30. The award was founded by Scotiabank in partnership with the Canadian Photography Institute of the National Gallery of Canada.
